”I’ve always been drawn to old doors & entrances — not just for their textures or history, but for the lives they once touched. I wonder how many first kisses were shared on a doorstep.
How many tearful goodbyes were whispered before a door gently closed. I think about the everyday moments too — muddy boots kicking against the frame, the countless letters dropped through the slot. Made of oak,

made of iron,

made of stone

The stories in between,

Remain untold

But how many stories,

Could it tell on its own?

After standing through

The heat and the cold

A secret whispered in the night,

Or a cry at the break of light

Made of glass,

Made of steel,

Made of brick

Quiet it stands,

Awaiting my click.

And as it catches my eye,

When I walk on by,

My mind runs wild,

Thinking of the memories compiled.
